built by hand.

Selected work
A 1:24 scale interior built for a student short film. Hand-aged plaster, brass fittings, individually labeled apothecary bottles.
Wire-and-resin armature for a stop-motion puppet. Designed for full range of head and arm motion with replaceable hands.
Quarter-scale exterior with weathered timber, hand-cut glazing and live moss. Built as a thesis collaboration with the cinematography department.
Cast resin and patinated brass hero prop. Designed to read at distance and survive close-up — interior compartment functional.
A six-foot tabletop landscape built for a stage production. Foam carved terrain, resin water, individually placed grasses.
A night-lit miniature exploring how scale, fog and pin-light glints can make a foot of foam feel like a mile of granite.

About
Leah Barrett is a model maker based in [City]. She graduated in [Year] from [School / Program], where her thesis explored the language of miniature in narrative film.
Her practice sits at the intersection of craft and storytelling — she builds the small things that make a frame feel inhabited. She works comfortably across foam, resin, wood, metal and paint, and is happiest at the bench with a scalpel and a reference photo.
Currently available for commissions, freelance projects, and full-time studio roles.
